Question
how do i find numbers for acting agents and how do i get a good one.

Answer
Jesse,

Thanks for writing. The best resource I know for listing of agents and talent agencies is a book called The Hollywood Representation Directory. You can find it online by going to www.hcdonline.com. The book costs $64.95.

Tjhe way you get a good agent is by inviting them to see your work. When you are appearing in a play, musical, improvisation group, or if you appear in a commercial or film, send the agent you're interested in a note telling them about your performance, where and when they can see it, and invite them to attend.

No agent will represent you unless he has seen you perform - he needs to know if you have any talent and whether or not in his mind you are "marketable."

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
