Question
I was wondering what kind of education is needed to become a director. Would my best bet be to get out of Michigan for it?

Answer
Casie,  Stage director or film director?  For stage, an undergraduate general theatre major at a good Mich, school, then an MFA at Yale Drama school for professional directing. For educational directing, an MA, MFA and or PhD depending what kind of school.  For film, a good film making school such as LA Film School, USC or UCLA.
