Question
Hello:

Are there some roles that can ruin an actor's career in films? If so, what are they. I heard that an actor should be selective regarding the role he/she takes. Is this recommendation true.
And also, if an actor is in a bad film, will the films poor review harm the actor's career? Likewise, will strong language (vulgar language) in the dialogue harm an actor's career and other actors in the film?

I thank you for your reply.

Answer
HI Kenneth, Stay out of porn. The beginning actor will have very little choice regarding roles. If for some reason you find a role offensive and do not wish to do it, simply do not audition, or if offerred it, turn it down. All of us get a bad review now and then, it is part of the game.  Strong language is so commonplace that it has no bearing on the actor's career.  Best wishes and God bless, Doc
