Question
All my life I've wanted to be an actress. My Mum is doing everything she can to help me achieve my dream but, I just want it soooo badly like now. I'm 14, I think I'm a good actress (so I've been told)and would lovelovelove an acting job. So if you have any handy tips they would be very appreciated.
Thanks, Jamie :)

Answer
Jamie,

Thanks for writing. My advice is if you want to be an actor, get the best training you can find at programs such as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Webber Douglas School, and the Central School of Voice and Speech in the UK.

Then, when you have the training, you need to move to Los Angeles as 95% of all film and TV work in the USA is cast in Los Angeles.

My third piece of advice is if you LOVE acting and cannot think of doing anything else with your life, then never give up on your dream of a career as an actor! Don't let anything stop you! It's a very difficult road to travel and the chances of you ever being able to support yourself financially solely from acting is pretty slim - BUT IT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU WORK HARD AND NEVER GIVE UP!

Good luck!

Phil
