QUESTION: i am a 15yr old gal.i want to give disney channel auditions and be on disney channel.i stay in india.is it possible?does disney channel auditions take place in India?if not then wat else can i do to get in acting career?

ANSWER: Dear Damini, There is no way for you to audition for Disney. The auditions they do hold (mostly in the US) are not for the channel, but are held by individual shows that are aired on the channel. It would be a very rare thing for there to be any such auditions in India. There is,however, Bollywood.  The filmmaking in India which is quite a vibrant industry. I suggest you research that and seek help from your school counselors on how to prepare for a film acting career in India.  Best wishes, Doc

Damini, Acting in plays is the best way to improve. I am not aware of any websites that profess to teach acting. IT is not something you can really learn about without doing it live and having your performance then evaluated for improvement. There is a CD that purports to teach acting by Uta Hagen.
