Question
Help!  I have a BFA but want to desperately teach at a community college in my town but have to have an MFA.  Is it even possible anywhere?  I've been on Google looking but to no avail.  I could get a Masters easily online for regular education teacher, but for Theatre---no.  Can you suggest anything at all?  Thanks!
Stephanie

Answer
Hi Stephanie, Problem is MFA's tend to be professional training degrees. Thus nothing on line. You are looking at two or three years residency for an MFA. I found  a couple of them that are preparation for secondary school teachers.  IF it doesn't matter what the concentration of the degree is, then you could do one of several I found by searching for MFA Theatre Degrees. In many cases it would be just as easy to get a PhD or EdD.  Might think about that.  God bless, Doc
