Question
Hi, I know this site is about asking advice on how to further their acting career; but I have a different question.
I have exp. in theatre and have begun a adult course in acting, but I have a child already with another on the way.  I'am 20 and look pretty much like I did in highschool, I have a passion for acting, but is it too late?  should I just push it aside now that I have kids?

Thanks for all your advice.

Regards, Gladys

Answer
Gladys,

Thanks for writing. I am of the opinion that it is never too late to pursue one's dreams! That said, raising children takes a tremendous amount of time, love and patience. The bigger question for yourself is truly will you have the TIME to devote to pursuing an acting career with one small child and another one on the way. If you have the money to pay for a nanny to help lighten your lady, the answer may be yes. But the more time you spend away from your children pursuing your career, the less time your children have with their mother. If you ask me, the most important role for you to play right now is the role of loving mother. Be there now for your children and you'll reap the rewards later in life.

Good luck!

Phil
