Question
Hi.My name is Anika and I'm a 15(almost)year-old teenager who dreams of becoming an actor and work with Disney Channel.I know it's very difficult to make this dream come true but I think I should try even if I won't succeed it.I'm writing to you because I would like you to give some advice on how to start or what should I do.I know it would be a good idea if I had a talent agent but the problem is that I live in Greece and there aren't any talent agencies here and Greece doesn't offers many opportunities to those who wish to become actors. The distance between America and Greece is huge but I talked about it with my parents and they said that they would let me go to America if I would be chosen for an audition.I would appreciate any advice.Oh,I also wrote a movie and the people who read it actually loved it.Any advice about this? Thanks for your time.Have a nice day.

Answer
Hi Anika, Sorry, but woring with Disney is next to impossible, because 1 unless your parents are actively working to make your career happen, it is not going to happen as a teen. You cannot do it on your own due to labor laws.  It is stupid to risk the cost of flying to the US (accompanied by a parent as required) for the risk of an audition. Actors get a very small percentage of the jobs they audition for. It ain't worth it. Second, unless you are a citizen of the US (you didn't say) or have a green card or are an imported star, you cannot work professionally as an actor in this county. My advice is to write lots more films with roles for yourself in them and get known as a film artist in Greece. Then perhaps Hollywood will come calling. God bless, Doc
