Question

Hello I’m 18 yrs old and I recently just finished high school and I really want to be a film director and I was hoping if you could please answer a few questions for me.

How long does a BFA degree take to earn? And what are the required classes needed? And it is still required to take the basic classes such as Math, history and so on.

Sincerely Janet.

Answer
Janet,

Thanks for writing. In answer to your questions, a BFA degree, depending upon the area of study, normally takes 4 years to complete. The required classes depend upon the university as well as the area of study. Are you required to take basic classes such as Math, history, etc.? Again, it depends upon the university and the program in which you enroll.
