Question
Hi, I am a teen who would love to get a job (Even if it is just a side roll) in acting. My mom works and we can't afford acting lessons but I would still like to try. I watch T.V and I study their facial expressions and try to copy. Acting is my life long dream so please tell me how I should proceed.

Answer
Hi Andriana,  You are just one of a million teens who would love to get an acting job. Problem is that most of you are unsuited for it. And if that weren't enough barrier, there just are not very many teen jobs, in spite of what it seems like when you watch TV. You need extraordinary talent, experience, training and should have an agent to be considered for professional work. Acting isn't just making faces.  You need to start by being in all the school plays. That will give you an idea of how much talent you have. Then we can go from there. It may be helpful for your to read all the posts at my blog at http://theatredoconacting.blogspot.com and learn much more about professional acting.  God bless, Doc
