Question
Hi Phil,
I am currently a high school senior who has been auditioning at several universities for admissions into Acting BFA programs in Fall of 2010. My two top choices are CMU and BU. Now I read that you are a graduate of CMU's acting program but I was wondering if you had any information about how reputable BU's BFA Acting program was within the professional acting world. I've attempted to research it but my results have been extremely varied.
I'd really appreciate your help!
Molly

Answer
Molly,

Thanks for writing. At one time, there was a consortium of schools called THE LEAGUE OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS. These schools offered a BFA degree in acting and were considered the best schools in the country for young adults who sought the best possible training for the professional theater. Both BU and CMU were part of this consortium. So it's safe to assume that either school will provide you with excellent training as an actor.
