Question
Phil:

I have a collection of about 40-50 Screen Guide's from the 1930's & 1940's. I have seen one or two of these on e-bay from time to time, but that's about it.

Do people collect these? I would imagine it the magazine contained info on specific actors, it would have some vaule.

By career, I am an Engineer and  Marketing guy, and out of my element with these types of materials. TThey belong to my 96 year old aunt, and she just bought them way back to read, and they have been around ever since.

Any direction / information / source of info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. You folks do a great job. My wife even answers' questions about counseling / drugs/ etc.  Thanks in advance  Ken

Answer
Ken,

Thanks for writing. I'm sure there are collectors out there who might be interested in them, but since I'm not a collector, I honestly couldn't tell you who might be interested in purchasing them.

However, if you'd like to donate them, I'm confident that the Herrick Library at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences would be interested in taking them. They have one of the finest archives of motion picture material anywhere in the world, dating from as far back as the silent film era to present day.

Hope this helps.

Phil
