Question
Hey Phil, I'm interested in knowing how in the world actors or aspiring actors who haven't landed a role where they can support themselves from solely acting do to support themselves? The time
Constraints seem confusing to me! Should auditioning actors have evening jobs or day jobs? do actors audition in the morning or late evenings? Hopefully you can shed some light on this for me. Jared

Answer
Jared,

Aspiring actors support themselves in whatever employment they can. Some of the more traditional jobs include waiting tables, temp services work, bartending, taxi cab drivers, etc. Auditions for the most part occur during normal business hours (9am to 5pm) so aspiring actors need to be available during the day to audition. But remember, auditions don't happen every day for the same actor. If they are in demand, they can schedule their audition at a time when they can attend to audition.

Hope this helps.

Phil
