Hi, my name is Sean.
I am 19 years old and I will tell you that I am not some desperate girl (or boy) wanting to get on Disney Channel. No, what I had in mind is more "serious" stuff. I have certain learning challenges and physical challenges that may present roadblocks for my dream career. I can live with another career. For one, I don't catch on to jokes very much like other people do. I am sure there are a few more challenges I might have. Can I still give it a shot?

This is a great question and I am glad you asked.  Here are my thoughts:

1.  There are many other people in the world who have learning and physical challenges.  In my opinion, it does not have to look a certain way.  You can learn to do what you want to do in a way that helps you.  You do not have to learn it the way others do.  Nor do you have to perform it the way others do.  

2.  Regarding jokes or anything else you have challenges with...consistently make some time in your life where you work on these things.  For e.g. Listen to jokes.  Tell jokes.  Learn about them.  See if you can understand certain kinds of jokes.  Honestly, I don't get many jokes either.  It's ok.  Honestly, it is a choice to not allow that to get in your way.  If you want this, do it.  Don't let anyone or anything get in your way.
