Question
Long time ago I talked to a friend of mine and he said some actors have learned many techniques with some gurus(don't hate me for this word), in that case he was talking about Marlon Brando, saying that his tone of voice was typical in acting technique. I know there are influential people I should read in acting literature but I can't find them.

Help me, thanks !

Answer
Hello Flynn, Brando's teacher was Stella Adler.  The most influential teacher has been Sandford Meisner. Read them , but reading others from their time will be duplication. There are also many contemporary teachers that you should read such as Tony Barr, Eric Morris and Kenneth Plonkey. Go to http://tao-of-acting.org for more information. God bless, Doc
