Answer
Dear Dylan,

Thanks for writing. The primary skill you need as an actor is referred to as talent. Without talent, you won't go very far. Beside talent, it helps if you have had training in acting, voice, movement and dance.

If you have a fear of performing in front of people, I believe that you acting career will not go far. When you perform in the theatre, you don't know the audience. When you perform in front of a camera, you probably will not know the crew very well. Actors need to be able to produce their performance under all kinds of difficult circumstances. Performing in front of people is the norm, so it looks like you'll have a tough time of it.

Hope this information helps. Good luck with your project.

Best,

Phil
