Question
Hello, my daughter is 8yrs old, she's been wanting to act, do commercials etc. So I took her to an audition with JRP, they totally loved her, we went back for the second interview they and they want to work with her. So I put her in for 1yr in the fundamental development program "very expensive". So question did I do the right thing or am I being scammed, I'm just totally lost. What's included in that is headshot or zed card photo shoot, but they still ask me for pictures. !st class starts next weekend, but there is an audition tomorrow. What do I do?

Answer
Linda,

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, I won't be of much help because I've never heard of JRP so I cannot speak to their legitimacy. I also don't know what a zed card photo shoot is. It seems to me that any company that provides you with a quality headshot and then still asks you to take more headshots is scamming you. Is JRP a talent agency? If so, you need to check to see if they are on the Screen Actors Guild Franchised Talent Agency list. If they aren't then they are probably scamming you.

Hope this helps.
