QUESTION: Well yes, I have looked her up. I have even talked to her through e-mail, she seems pretty good. I live in Maryland, so since it's not a main city there aren't any coaches or anything here. I wanted to know of how would it be like if I DID have to move to L.A. (where she is)

Why not study in NY, it's so much closer.
Have you EVER done anything before film/tv/stage?
I assure you that there are qualified coaches in Baltimore.
Call the film commission office there or SAG to check on agents and they might be able to direct you to someone.

QUESTION: No. She hasn't asked me. Her name is Crystal and I really like her. And yes, I agree New York is closer, but I haven't had luck with New York in the past.

You can't go to NY for a week and think the doors will be opened up to you.
If you don't have any referrals (connections) to get a pic/res on to a real agents desk, then you are going to have to start with whoever will take you on, in a smaller agency.
