Question
Hi.. My name is Kirsten. I have been wanting to be in a Disney channel movie or show. I know that you should have an agent. How do you get an agent? Also, is there any other way to find an acting role?

Thank you for your time..
Kirsten

Answer
Kirsten,

Thanks for writing. The way you get an agent is to invite him to see you performing in something. That way the agent can determine if you have any talent, whether or not your marketable, and whether or not he thinks he can sell you to studios, networks, producers, directors, and casting directors.

There is no law that says you must have an agent in order to find an acting role. Depending upon where you live, you may be able to audition for parts without an agent.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
