Question Hello, how are you? My name is Abdalhadie, but I go by Jordan. I would like to find out the how I could land a role in disney channel show or film. I love acting and its one of my majors that I'm eorking on. I am currently working on getting headshots and writing a resume. Acting is what I love to do and I will pursue this career. I always give my best effort when I perform because thats what I love to do. Thank you very much for helping.
Answer Dear Jordan,
Getting a spot on a disney channel or show is a hard thing to do. They don't often have open auditions, meaning they don't advertise their auditions in the newspaper, they go to casting directors. To be on a casting directors list, you must have an agent. Once you have an agent, you will probably be put on casting directors lists, and disney channel casters might see your face, and if they like it, they will call you up. Now you have the audition. Sometimes there are travelling disney channel fairs, so to speak, that travel from town to town sitting for hundreds of kids who audition off the streets (and some professionally).
Tip: Once you have an agent, try telling them that you are interested in Disney channel shows and films. They wont ONLY find these auditions for you, but they will keep their eyes out and let you know when they find them. Agents are trustworthy people.
Thanks, Jordan! Great question. Its good that you are interested in acting, its a fun filled, beneficial career to pursue, full of travel. Keep acting!
