QuestionHi, my name is Madeline and I'm in grade 7. I am doing a project about the career I want when I'm older and I have to ask them 15 questions about their job. You sound like the perfect person for me to ask these questions. I love the model industry and fashion designing, making outfits that would look great for a model and pretty much anything to do with fashion, models, etc. I understand if you don't want to or just don't have the time, but if you are willing to than thank-you very much.
Here are the questions...
1. Do you like your job?
2. Would you ever regret choosing this job?
3. What are the pros?
4. What are the cons?
5. Do you think that you have a fair amount of time off?
6. Is your salary a good pay for the job that you do?
7. Do you work in a friendly environment, good staff?
8. Are there any jobs that related to this job or needed in order to get the job?
9. Was the training hard for photography?
10. Are there any special or certain skills that you need?
11. Has something inspired you to choose this job? (Optional)--> If so, than what?
12. Did you not know if you wanted to have this as your career for a long time, or did you know that you wanted to do it for sure?
13.Do you ever feel its too hard and you just want to give up?
14. What are the hardest parts about it?
15. Is this the kind of job you look forward to going to?
Your free to add anything you would like... thanks if you can. :)
Answer1. Do you like your job?
Yes, I love the work that I do.
2. Would you ever regret choosing this job?
No.
3. What are the pros?
I can freelance, set my own schedule, and take only the work I want to do - when I want to do it.
4. What are the cons?
You pay higher taxes as a subcontractor. You have to do something every day to forward your career, so there's fewer opportune times to take a vacation.
5. Do you think that you have a fair amount of time off?
Since I can schedule when I want to work, it's up to me when I take time off. However, as noted above - it's good to do something every day to forward one's career.
6. Is your salary a good pay for the job that you do?
I do not get paid a salary. I get paid for each job I accept and complete. And yes, it is pretty good to get paid for something you'd be willing to do for free.
7. Do you work in a friendly environment, good staff?
There are very few times you are ever around people who are not friendly, as the majority are doing what their dream job is - happily.
8. Are there any jobs that related to this job or needed in order to get the job?
Modeling and acting are related - particularly commercial print modeling and commercial acting. Other than photos, there's really nothing required.
9. Was the training hard for photography? I don't take pictures myself, and no - there's no training I needed to be in photos.
10. Are there any special or certain skills that you need?
If you are naturally photogenic, that's just something that I think is hard to teach. You do need to look good on camera, photograph or film well. Everything else can be learned on the job as you go.
11. Has something inspired you to choose this job? It was just something I enjoyed doing.
(Optional)--> If so, than what?
12. Did you not know if you wanted to have this as your career for a long time, or did you know that you wanted to do it for sure? Like I said, I would do modeling and acting whether you paid me or not. I feel creative and fulfilled doing it. So to get paid is icing on the cake. It's been that way for many years.
13.Do you ever feel its too hard and you just want to give up? Nope.
14. What are the hardest parts about it? There really isn't anything all that hard about it.
15. Is this the kind of job you look forward to going to? Absolutely!
Your free to add anything you would like... thanks if you can. :)
I think modeling and acting is pretty much like having any other passion in life. You pursue it because you are compelled to, because your soul wants you to. You get a rush out of it. If you don't feel that in whatever you choose to do in life, it's time to get a new career.
I hope you find the same joy in life that I have had.
