Question
Hello Phil Nemy,
My name is Bradley Nguyen.  I'm 15 years-old and am very very active in my school drama department.  I am told to act very well and sing and dance very well.  And I also have a question, what are the chances that any of us teenagers can get a chance to audition for television and what are the chances of actually getting the role?
Sincerely,
Bradley Nguyen

Answer
Bradley,

Thanks for writing. The chances of you getting an opportunity to audition for TV  and getting the role are as good as anyone elses. And those odds are about one in 10,000.  Sorry, but that's the reality.

You don't really have much of a chance unless you are living in Los Angeles, have an agent, have enrolled in acting classes in LA, and you have talent. Even with all of this going for you, the odds are still against you ever being able to make a living solely from the craft of acting.

Good luck!

Phil
