Question
Hello Teri
I have always wanted to act, but I have always been wary of all the scams out there. Could you please give me some information and advice on some of the things I should stay away from in the acting industry. I want to act but I want to be safe and informed about it.
Any advice you could give me would be great.
Thank you
Shellee

Answer
You're right about all of the scams, you'v got to be careful.

FYI there is a great website to go to to check out if
someone is who they say they are.

Or have the credits that they claim to have.

Just go to imdb.com and type in thier name/s.

BTW NEVER give any money upfront to any agent or manager EVER.

They get paid on a commission basis ONLY and is usually 10-20% after, and only on gigs that they book you on.
