Question
Hello, I am 16 years old and attend High School. I am told by peers and my Drama teacher that I am a pretty good actor, I excel especially in improvisation, often going off into improvised scenes with fellow drama students.

My question is where I should start if I am interested in TV and Movie acting. I don't want to move to another city, which may be difficult since I live in a rural California town located nearly in the center of the state. But I am willing to travel.

I don't even need a job now necessarily, I just want to know where to go when I am ready and what the best approach would be. I appreciate any advice you can give me and I thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Nick.  What city are you within an hour or two commute from?  It is very difficult to get established as an actor if you do not live where the action is. I can outline an approach to becoming an actor for you if you write me at kencosp@aol.com where I also advise actors for free.  I look forward to hearing from you, be sure to re ask everything as I have a great many people I am advising and I will forget who you are.  Best wishes, Doc
