Hello, my name is Juan. I am 25 years old and I completed the 1 year filmmaking
program at the NYFA 2 years ago. I am interested in directing, especially
directing actors, and I wanted to see if you know of good Theater Directing
schools/programs in the NY area? Hope you can help. Thanks

Hi Juan, You have changed from film to stage directing, eh?  The only good directing program I am aware of is Yale's MFA program.  You may not qualify or ever care to do so.  So there is the school of experience out there.  Find a little venue somewhere and direct a show.  People are doing this all over the city.  Some will keep moving up to bigger and better things and get noticed and maybe get a chance to qualify for the union. Read tons of books on directing.
