Question
Mr. Nemy,

I recently wrote a screenplay and have been trying very hard for the past few months to try and get it into the right hands. I have been speaking with many people in the industry as to how to get my script out there. I was advised by numerous people, including the art director of National Treasure, to get an agent to represent my script. However, I am having trouble doing so because I need agents that are associated specifically with Disney and/or Jerry Bruckheimer films. If there are any sources or specific agencies that you feel could really help me, or any advice you may have, I would truly appreciate it.
Thank you!

Answer
Karina,

Thanks for writing. Agencies are not "associated" specifically with producers or directors unless they represent them personally. Even if you were to contact Jerry Bruckheimer's agent, you'd have to have a relationship with the agent or Jerry in order for them to take you seriously. Since you know Jon Turteltaub, the director of NATIONAL TREASURE, why don't you ask him to make an introduction for you to HIS agent or the agent or attorney that represents Jerry Bruckheimer?

Other than this, purchase a copy of The Hollywood Representation Directory which lists all of the major and minor talent agencies in LA and NYC. Pick one or two that you like and contact them about representation.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
