Question
Do you know of US colleges & universities or programs that award their students points toward their actor equity card? I only know of University of Connecticut and I think Iowa. My daughter is studying theatre in high school with a well known teacher and he considers her a good dancer in his productions, so a theatre/dance major is what we are looking for as well. Thank you.

Thanks for your note. The only universities that I know of that maintain a professional theater company in which students can enroll as Equity Membership Candidates and accrue weeks towards full membership are the yale Repertory Theater associated with the Yale School of Drama and The Acting Company associated with the Julliard School of Drama. There may be others, but you'd have to do some investigating.
