QuestionWhere do i send my demo to apply to work on cruise ships with my lounge band (quartet live piano bass drums and vocals)
AnswerHere are a number of sites you may find useful. While some are probably scams, they all seem to have plenty of good advice and audition possibilities.
Clearly, you'll need to have a DVD audition, and a pretty strong gig list.

Two problems with cruises: it's very incestuous, you're all in each other's pockets the whole time. It's like an endless tour in the band van. Tensions can easily get out of control, expecially in the ship lines where they don't seem to value their artists.
Finance is a problem. The fees aren't great and while your board and lodging are covered, it is easy to blow your fees on tension-release in visits to ports. And that's not counting the backstage gambling that is often a problem.
Tip the cabin steward generously and your life will run more smoothly.
Remember that your ship fees are taxable in your country of residence, no matter what impression you get from what you're told.
