QUESTION: Sir
Which film Schools you think are the best(UK OR US).And would there be scholarships.I want something that i can afford , being a indian it can be tough for me financially.
what would be the scholarships procedure,Shoud i go for one year or two year program.looking forward for a reply . God bless you

Answer
Bijoy,

I am unfamiliar with film schools in the UK, but the better schools in the USA can be found at USC, UCLA, NYU, UT-Austin, Columbia, Florida State, Cal Arts, NC School of the Arts, AFI, Cal State Northridge, and Loyola Marymount. I honestly cannot tell you what the cost is to attend these schools.

I would stay away from schools like The New York Film Academy or the Los Angeles Film School as their reputations are not that great. They are much less expensive than a 4-year BA or BFA program, but they aren't as good. Two year programs for the most part are not as good as four year programs. However, AFI's two year program is top-notch!

You'll need to contact each school to find out their scholarship requirements.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
