       Thanks for reading

Answer
For modeling an agent will look at your photos if you have them, and/or take a couple Polaroids or digital photos of you.  If you're meeting with a fashion agent, they may also ask you to walk.
Acting is usually much more involved.  A commercial agent may ask you to cold read a commercial, or if you have something prepared, they may ask you to perform a monologue.  Theatrical agents may also give you something to cold read - perhaps a scene instead of a commercial, or may ask you to have something prepared.  Sometimes the agent or an assistant will read with you, sometimes they prefer you audition for them alone.  You can always ask before the audition if they are expecting you to have something prepared, or if you'll be doing a cold reading.  If you have a professional headshot/resume, they will want that - and if your special skills list something such as singing, they may ask you to sing something as well.  If you have an actor's demo tape, and/or a voiceover demo tape, you should definitely bring that and let them know you have that available too.
If it is an interview with an agent, remember that you are interviewing them, as much as they are interviewing you.  Technically, your agent works for you (as you pay them a percentage off of the money you earn) - so you need to feel comfortable with them, believe that they understand who you are, and agree with their marketing ideas and the direction they see your career going in.
Good luck to you,

I can answer questions from those looking to get into the fashion or commercial modeling industry. Specifically, the requirements, what is needed, how to find an agent, what they look for, how to avoid scams, the difference between what a commercial model does, and a fashion model, would travel/relocation be required, what is on a comp card and in your portfolio.

Experience

Both my acting and modeling resume/portfolio is available online on my website. I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and also have available my actor's demo reel and voice-over demo online. I founded both the Florida-Models.com and Florida-Actors.com websites, which provide free modeling and acting info to the public. I have moved into directing, producing and screenwriting - and have won awards for my writing. I have worked in the industry as both a model and actress in Florida, New York City and Los Angeles until October 2007. I now reside in Europe.
