Careers: Acting, Performing, Directing/get a job???

Question
I am looking to get a job working in the film business - but I would like to do it in Rhode Island! I am not looking for something high up, just something to get my foot in the door. Anyway - How would I go about finding out about film type jobs in rhode island - there is never anything in the paper. I can't find much info. on the internet. And by the time I hear about a film being made here - its already being filmed and all the hiring is done... what do I do? Any info would be great. thanks... Mike

Try contacting the Rhode Island Film Commission, if there is one, and if there isn't, check with the film commissions of the neighboring states. They always know when films are coming into town.
