Question
I want to pursue modeling as a career leading to many other oppurtunities.  I am 24 and finishing college with a kinesiology degree.  I work under two agencies in san diego but they aren't finding me business.  What steps do I take individually to pursue modeling and commercials as a business?????  I am smart, good looking and outgoing and don't want to wait to be told where to get my next pay check from when I can do it better myself with the correct mentoring!

I just read an article about www.vocationvacations.com - and there are both modeling and acting mentors there.  If that's not something you're interested in - you could certainly try a larger market once you're finished with college.  You're not that far from Los Angeles, and there are plenty of opportunities here for both union and non-union actors, as well as somewhat more limited opportunities for models.  You can get an agent or manager, or use one of the online services such as ActorsAccess.com, NowCasting.com or LACasting.com.  You may want to check out those sites too, see if they cover the area you're in now too.
