hey, i am 13 and have an ambition to become a motion picture actress.  I talked to my parents about getting an agent, and i have been researching them.  I would like to know how to find a good agency in my area that is reliable.  It would be great if you could help or send me sites addresses for help on finding an agent.

The best agencies (and also some of the most reliable) are Screen Actor's Guild-franchised agencies.  You can find their list of agencies on their website: www.sag.org
Look under SAG Basics, Agency Information, and then select the location closest to you.  You will have to contact each agency individually to find out what type (and ages) of actors they represent, and if they are looking for new talent.  If they are, be sure to ask them what they would like to see from you.  Some places may want a professional headshot/resume (and a cover letter), while others (particularly if you are interested in background/extra work) may accept just a snapshot.  Also, there some agents who may want you to audition for them--and might ask you to do a monologue or 'cold read' from a script--so if you haven't already, you might want to seek out an auditioning class in your area if you aren't already familiar with the process.
