Question
hello
if you ever send your headshot and resume away to a tv company such as disney channel would they ever return it and give feed back about you because i only have 2 headshots would i get one back or do they keep it on file and if you asked them would they refer it to other departments such as suite life and thatws so raven casting directors and are adresses or disney casting directors awalys trustworthy

Answer
Paul,

Thanks for writing. Good questions.

When you submit your headshot to a TV company or to a casting director, do not expect to ever receive it back. In addition, do not expect to receive any feedback or comments about the headshot you submitted. Companies and casting directors don't have the time to comment on each headshot they receive. They receive tens of thousands every year. In addition, they don't consider it their responsibilty or obligation to return your headshot if they don't need it. They simply throw them away.

The only time you might be able to get some feedback is when a casting director calls you in for an audition or general interview. When you meet them, they may make some suggestions or comments about your headshot. If they don't, you can always ask and they may give you feedback.

Otherwise, submit it and hope you get a call. Otherwise, forget it about it and move on. Above all, don't take rejection personally. If you don't get a call, it simply means your look is not what they were looking for.

As far as whether or not casting directors are trustworthy, some are and some aren't.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
