Answer
If when you call to confirm the address they tell you to address letters to a person or a department, start out the letter to them; i.e. Dear Mr. Tom Smith or Attention: New Faces.  You might want to start out with your name age and location, then follow with your stats.  The order is not so important, so much as making sure that you include contact information, and stats.  If you can, include a brief paragraph about yourself - but by all means, keep it short.  An example might be:
Hi!  My name is Sally Wilson.  I'm a junior on the honor role at Mt Washington High, and am seeking agency representation for commercial print modeling and acting in film and television.
I'm a Cuban/French mix, and can speak both Spanish and French fluently.  I have dark brown hair and green eyes, and am 5'7 tall with measurements of 34b-24-34.  I have enclosed my composite card for your review.  If you're interested in my look, I can be reached via telephone or email: 123-555-1212, Name@email.com.
Thank you,
Sally.
Of course you'll put your own personality into it, but you have about half a page to work with before it's getting too long.  Try to remain professional and interesting without getting into extraneous details like your boyfriend, how much you want to be a model, that you're only available on weekends, that you don't have any photos, etc.  Believe it or not, I've gotten letters like that!
Good luck to you,
~Kitty

I can answer questions from those looking to get into the fashion or commercial modeling industry. Specifically, the requirements, what is needed, how to find an agent, what they look for, how to avoid scams, the difference between what a commercial model does, and a fashion model, would travel/relocation be required, what is on a comp card and in your portfolio.

Experience

Both my acting and modeling resume/portfolio is available online on my website. I am a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and also have available my actor's demo reel and voice-over demo online. I founded both the Florida-Models.com and Florida-Actors.com websites, which provide free modeling and acting info to the public. I have moved into directing, producing and screenwriting - and have won awards for my writing. I have worked in the industry as both a model and actress in Florida, New York City and Los Angeles until October 2007. I now reside in Europe.
