Question
im 14 and I really want to start an acting career. I haved dreamed of being on disney. I know I have talent seeing as I have had the lead in almost all my school plays that I have auditioned for. Is there anyway I can aleast start with a walk-on roll? Do you know of any upcoming auditions or any auditions in pennsylvania??

Thank you
Lucia

Answer
Lucia,

Thanks for writing. I don't know of any walk-on roles for Disney. However, I do know that Director M. Night Shyamalan usually directs his films in the Philadelphia area. You might try contacting the Philadelphia Film Commission, the Pittsburgh Film Commission and the Pennsylvania Film Commission and ask them for the names of local casting directors who are working on films and TV shows in the state of Pennsylvania. Once you have their names, then contact their offices to find out about how you can submit your headshot and resume to them in the hope that you can get cast in the film or TV show they are working on, even if it's just a small walk-on part or atmosphere/background role.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
