i am wonting to start a career in modeling and i dont no were to start i am 17 and dream of becoming a model since i woz little.Every one has said to go for it but i dont now were to start and i havint really that much money at the moment to pay for a porpolo to be done for me is there any web sites wich i could go to and let them look at me with out them wonting pic first? thanx laura

You don't need a portfolio to start.  Depending on the type of modeling you are interested in, and appropriate for, you may need either a couple of snapshots, or perhaps a modeling composite card.  

You can pick up one of the modeling agency directories (available in your local library, bookstore or online) to find the contact information on the agents closest to you.  Since there are different types of agents representing the different type of models, make sure you fit the criteria for the agency you submit your information to.  

You can usually submit your information through the mail, or possibly attend an open call.  Again, it depends on the type of modeling, and the agency as to which method they prefer.
