Question
Hey i just want to know how can you start to become an actress when u r 13 and live in palm coast , florida?i mean when i turn 18 i am leaving here to go to hollywood but i want to know what can you do to be casted in a movie or t.v. show?how can i b ready?

Answer
Maya,

Thanks for writing. If you want to be cast in a movie or TV show at age 13, you need to audition. Unfortunately, you won't find a lot of auditions in Palm Coast, FL for film and TV shows. 99% of the films and TV shows that you see in the USA are cast in California, which means you need to be in Los Angeles to audition for them. I'd wait until you're 18 and can travel to LA to audition.

How can you be ready? You can be ready by studying the craft of acting. Enroll in acting classes in your community. Read the three-volume acting books by Stanislavski and learn as much as you can about the craft of acting. That's what you can do NOW to be ready for pursuing your career at 18.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
