Answer
Joahna,

Thanks for writing. There's no exact science or sure-fire road to becoming a star, whether it's for The Disney Channel or anyone else. But you must have three things to start: the first is talent. If you don't have talent, you won't find work and if you ARE lucky enough to find work, you won't have that long of a career without talent. Second, the camera MUST love you. If you aren't attractive, photogenic and have an indescribable "it," then you will never be a star. And third, you must have the desire to be poor for the rest of your life. What I mean by this is that 90% of all professional actors working in Hollywood today are unemployed at any given moment. Most actors will NEVER be able to make enough income as an actor to support themselves or their family. The chances of you EVER making it as a star are incredibly slim. So you better enjoy not having much money because most actors don't.

How do you get an agent? You get an agent by having developed your talent, being cast in a play, musical, commercial, in either NYC or LA so that an agent can see you perform. If they like what they see, they may agree to represent you. It's that simple.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
