I'm only 17, and i really want to be an actress. Everuone keeps telling me that it's not a good career, and I'll never get anywhere in life, but this is what i want to do. So can you please tell me how i can get started, and what i need to do to become an actress?

Hi Sara, This is the question I get asked most, and I believe it is possible to become an actor if one has the proper experience, training and knowhow along with a look that can be marketed by an agent.  As a matter of fact how I got into the answering of questions on this forum is that I started mentoring aspiring actors via email at no charge as a payback for my wonderful career in theatre and acting.
I need you to write to me at kencosp@aol.com where I do this mentoring and tell me all about your background in the theatre and what city you are in so I can assess the opportunities there. You can google my name and find a little more about me, the name of the university I retired from and the name of a couple of movies I was in.  When I hear from you at my aol address, we will get started with a plan for you to become an actress.  Best wishes, Doc
