Question
hello i am into acting and the entertainment industry as a whole i would love to become an actor which i do have acting experience in primary, high school and college and got a betc national diploma in acting. The only problem is that i live in the england and dont like the acting here i got into liking the american acting. I would love to work for disney because there one of the biggest enterinament companies in the world and i hear that they do an international programm for people to temporary work. I want to ask how do i go about getting to work permenantly at disney because if i start the international program would love to do it then permenantly work there and move up the ladder to acting or behind the scenes because i would also have a degree in digital media production. I know the studios is in burbank and its like even if i dont because a actor for disney and just behind the scenes if i work with them i can still just try n break in by doing independent movies or theatre in my own time but if i have kids atleast i can give them the chance to become an actor/actress. I just dont know how to go about it because the greencard issue is tight like i hear people have moved to america and one of the ways to move there is by employment but i would like to know does disney sponsors international people?

Answer
Kenneth,

Thanks for writing. First of all, actors are not full time employees at Disney. In fact, they aren't even staff employees. They ONLY work on the films and TV shows that Disney produces. If you want to "work for Disney," then you need to change your mindset to thinking about a career in business management.

Since you live in the UK, why not contact Disney's London office, speak to Human Resources there, and ask them how you could go about working for Disney, even if it's in London. Then once you begin working for them, ask them how you might be able to transfer to a position within the company in Los Angeles or Burbank, closer to the Disney Studios.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Phil
