Question
I'm a second semester sophomore Art Major/Graphic Design Minor  at Elizabeth City State University. My media includes Acrylics on canvas, pencil and ink work. I've attempted to investigate internships and the problem is that last year I had depression issues causing my G.P.A to bottom out. I've managed so far to get it back up to a 2.1 and I will finish out this semester at a 2.5 or better. I don't have the money to enter contests, I have all my artwork in a portfolio in an online album at my webpage: www.myspace.com/jamiesartwork. Please give me any advice to get a jump start ahead. I need all the help I can get to get the jump on paying back student loans, and finding a job.

Answer
Hello...wish there was an answer to your question.....but all I can offer is name of one website [there are others] that list artist work for free.....and the exposure might help you.  It is  Saatchi.com   Also check out artcalendar.com for other info written just for artists.

Good luck......remember a G.P.A. isn't everything [unless you want to go to grad school].
