Question
Hi, I do a type of artwork that I guess is a type of graphic arts using circles,
squares and lines and manipulating them. Many of them make terrific cards
and many would be fun posters. It wouldn't be cost effective for me to have
one poster made at $15.00 then try to sell it at a profit and  printers wants to
make one poster in huge quantities. Do you have any ideas on how to
promote my artwork?  It is certainly not mainstream. If you like, you can see a
few on my website http://www.home.earthlink.net/~cheriahner I would
appreciate any help you can offer.

Answer
Hello Ms. Cheri,

The best way to promote your work is "exposure".  Of course you are on the internet....but try the many free art related sites.....Saatchi.com is one...but you can google many others.

Also see if you can get a copy of Art Calendar magazine at your library   http://www.artcalendar.com/home.asp   It is a very good resource for artists.

You could register also with eBay and see what might transpire with your cards/posters.  You only need one poster for the image to begin....and if you get orders...you can have your printer make many more.

Hope this helps......all the best to you.
