Question
Hello. I'm a wood carver specializing in whimsical bear sculptures. Years ago I designed a line of Christmas holiday carvings for the Target corporation. They mass-produced the carvings and were sold nation wide throughout their stores. I received a 5 percent commission of the volume that was sold. I didn't get rich but it was a good year financially. Unfortunately it was a one time deal. I would like to find an agent to represent me to find another company that would reproduce my sculptures to sale. Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hello Bob,

First congratulations on the initial Target deal.  You didn't mention how you got that one, but I assume you did it directly.

I don't have any agent recommendations for you....my only thought would be for you to check Art Business Magazine and Art Calendar Magazine [they both have websites] and see if you can get a lead through them.

Sounds like you are on the edge of an interesting and rewarding experience with your wood carving talent!

Best of luck,
