Expert: DJ Murphy - 7/25/2008

I am a young self taught artist from the highlands and, as well as scottish landscapes and castles, I enjoy painting mountains - they prove quite popular with a lot of people and i was just wondering if there was any exhibitions specialising in this subject matter anywhere that I could exhibit my paintings.  At my moment I am selling locally but would im desperate to branch out a bit! Thanks

Hello....assume you are writing from Scotland.....if so I am not familiar with galleries in Great Britan.  Your best bet would be to visit a gallery or two in Edinborough (sp?) (London even better) and speak with the director or owner.  They will have a much better idea than me.

Also....if you have a digital camera you could make a CD of your works and resume and send it to a number of galleries and then follow up with phone calls and or personal visits.
