Question
QUESTION: I just started drawing not great but i'm getting better...i find its easiest at this point to sketch other sketches...my question is this if i sketch another artists sketch and change some details is that a form of plagerism i dont want to step on anyones toes....also can you recomend a website to post my stuff...there are a lot out there....DON

ANSWER: Hello..........artist's original artwork is protected by copywrite laws.

If you are going to practice....then find another source other than someone else's work.

You might try making your own website thru Google [buy your own at godaddy.com or networksolutions.com]  They offer reasonable prices and website templates...which then you can post your works.  Also...if you have a digital camera.....take some photo's and join saatchi.com which is an internet art site.

Keep sketching...and develope your own style.

QUESTION: what about a random picture from a google search....thanks for the saatchi recomendation

Answer
Hello....if the google photo is not copywritten then you might be able to use it....but
even photo's in newspapers are copywritten.  Try and google "free images" or words to that effect and perhaps you might find a free photo site or image site.

Good luck,
