Question
I've been asked before and often wondered, what exactly is a "juried" art show?  How does it differ from a "regular" art show?  What criteria are involved?

Answer
Usually a juried show has an "expert" art professional review the various artist's submissions....and selects the ones he/she prefers for the exhibition.  In juried exhibitions not all the applying artists get in the show.  Sometimes there are cash awards given to the artists....and if this is the case then the juror makes the award selections.

Hope this helps,
