Question
I have an original Stan Stokes painting.  It is acrylic on canvas approximately 25"x36".  Stan painted it in 1971 when I rented a room in his house in West covina.
He is now a world class Aviation Artist with paintings at NASA, The Smithsonian, many Air Museums and such.
Is there a market for my painting?  How do I get it appraised?  Would you like to see it?

I live in Southern California, in close proximity to Palm Springs and the art world in that part of California.

Any suggestions?
Thank You,
Most Sincerely,
donald Loomis

Answer
Hello Donald.........your best bet is to either go on line and check any auctions of his work [that is how appraisals are based]...sothebies or christies or some other auction house.

Also....check your yellow pages for art apprasails.

If you don't really need to sell it.....I'd keep it!

Good luck,
