I have been studying art independently for a year. I came across a website, artacademy.com, and I am interested in purchasing the drawing lessons and DVDs. However, it does cost a substantial amount of money, and I just needed to ask a reputable source if you had heard of the program,or if you could check out the site to see if it is legitimate and not a scam. Thank you very much.

I have never heard of this outfit....but you could try calling the Better Business Bureau in New York City and see if this group is a member and/or if there have been any complaints against them. www.newyork.bbb.org

NYC also has a department of Consumer Affairs which also tracks complaints.  You might also contact them.          www.nyc.gov/html/dca/home.html

I notice they have a full money back guarantee for the program if not satisfied anytime during a year.  Not sure if this is a come on or not, but it does note a legal contract to refund monies to customers.
