Question
I have photos, if you need them, but I'm sure hoping you can help me!  I've looked everywhere!  
About the picture: It seems to be "sandblasted" or etched with some minor color (almost baked into the material?) in certain areas of this portrait.  It is signed but it looks as though it's in another language.
I'm not sure of the material, perhaps acrylic or some sort of glass?  And then there's the copyright symbol with "FBEI" right next to it.  I'm not sure if it's mass produced (the writing and signature is raised).

Any help would be great!  I only paid 2 bucks for it but I'd just like to find out some info.  Thanks!!!!

Dear Monique,

It's hard to let you know what the technique is just from the verbal description of it. However, if you want some valid information on it, the best person to try and contact (perhaps even through all experts if there is one here) is an art collector. A collector will have much more specific knowledge when it comes to pieces and will know how to research the information.

I graduated summa cum laude with a double BFA in Illustration and Computer Art (specializing in 2-dimensional animation) from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where as a student, I happily tutored fellow peers in all aspects of art and created numerous illustrations for the school newspaper. For the past several years, I have been illustrating seminar books, designing numerous graphics, and creating short animation sequences for use in video. In addition, I work as a private tutor and am co-director / co-owner of a company that focuses on and promotes the local music industry.
